First Night at Brigadoon – Did we mention rain?  All night long? Wet trips to the porta-potty?

Wake to a gray Friday dawn.  Wet.  Chris and Stephanie regard the ripped tent, with the adjacent sculpture, and contemplate several more days of rain.  And look at the warm, dry campers nearby.  And see that all other Brigadooners are warm and DRY.  And thus Chris and Stephanie become the first to leave the camp.  So, with coffee consumed and a promise to return, they hit the road to dry out and promise to return with something dry with wheels and a floor off of the ground

Fortunately, there is a warm shelter in near-by Newton,

Did we mention rain?

What starts as a bit of standing water in the ditch a breakfast . . .

Washes over the edges of the Walnut River by noon.

By the middle of Friday, with the Walnut River rising, all of Brigadoon, and all of the other campers are on the road.  (Is this what a reverse Land Rush looks like?)

( Thanks for taking down our tent )
