Walnut Valley News Flash - Potential Catastrophe Averted!

A catastrophe nearly occured on Opening Day of Brigadoon 2007, as Chris and Stephanie Hope arrived at their favorite September campsite.  Upon driving in the little village of Brigadoon, they shouted in one voice, "Where are Trish and Dave?"  Yes, the camp scouts Trish and Dave Schimming were not present.  Chris and Stephanie drove around aimlessly until one of the pair said, "Stop. I have to pee".  So, stop they did and began searching for power and portapotties. The latter were plentiful and still clean.  The former in short supply.

The magnitude of the loss of our stalwart scouts was highlighted a moment later when Chris realized that he always relied on Dave for the first, cold "we are here" beer.  And Chris's cooler was buried under all of the other gear.  Chris had ensured, with his careful packing, that there would be no beer until the work was accomplished.

Fortunately, Trish and Dave arrived shortly, the group tents rose, beer was poured,  and serenity and good banjo (do those words go togeher?) music soon reigned.
