Did the Maiden of the Blue Thong return? Here is what was seen Saturday Night.

Sometime around 10:30 all eyes at the Brigadoon camp were drawn to the open grassy area just South of our shelter. We witness a young woman crouching over as she ignited the end of two wand like sticks about 18" long. Suddenly aflame, she began moving the burning wands in circular, up down and all around motions. While beautifully waving and twirling the wands she also moved her body gently, breeze like. The effect was mystical, magical, captivating. Her final moves included a

circular motion of the flames, with her arms outstretched directly in front of her, and the wands of flames coming very close to her body and face. With a bow, she disappeared in the darkness as quickly as she appeared."

Although thoroughly delightful, this was not the Maiden of the Blue Thong.  It was Gemma Ryan, a yoga teacher and fire dancer from Chicago.  Gemma - Please come back !
