Weather at Winfield - We have it all. And every year all Walnut Valley campers survive and, dare I say, thrive in the
adversity. This year, the rains came just as the drawings began for the pairings for the Great River Rat Music Festival. "Oh, dear," cried the Great Rat. "No one has signed up except for one
bass player and the master of the seldom-heard three-toed (toad?) washboard. Whatever can we do? All of Walnut Valley is huddled in their tents, watching the rain come down, and nervously awaiting the annual
performances of Winfield's finest songwriters and and musicians as they demonstrate their talents in the main stage of the River Rat Camp !" "FEAR NOT !!", cried Camp Brigadoon. "We will save your
competion. We can all work together in our humble little camp and write a song about Harry Ratter and the Pickers of Ratz Pecan". All of the visitors to the River Rat Camp will rejoice that the festivities
can continue. And, so, gathering in the Big Tent at Brigadoon, fortified with various liquids, the song writing team sprang into action. |
